Red Hill working bee Sunday 5 November 2017

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to our next working bee which will be held on Sunday 5 November 2017 at 9am

This month we plan to move to the west side of the Reserve and work on the woody weeds which are appearing along the Federal Golf Course access road.

The details:

Time: Sunday 5 November 2017 Work: 0900 to 1230, with byo morning tea at 1100.

Location: Park at the maintenance trail just past the intersection of the golf course access road with Red Hill Drive. We will work southwards in the Reserve along both sides of the road.

Activities:

1. Cut and daub woody weeds;
 2. Locate and record active rabbit warrens  using Collector App (bring your smart phone if you want to learn how to do this).
Conditions:  Mostly gentle sloping open hillside.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunscreen cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea. We may run out of saws so bring one along if you have one.

We bring: Gloves, tools, herbicides. Safety briefing and instructions at 9.15am. In the event of an equipment shortage, priority for tools will be given to Red Hill Regenerators members.

Note: Parks & Conservation rules require children under 15 years to be supervised by a responsible adult. Work party will be cancelled by email (if possible) if: a) the forecast is for > 35 deg C, b) it is a total fire ban day, c) there is lightning, or d) there is heavy rain.
