Regenerators seek $15k for weed control

The Regenerators have sought $15,000 in grant finding from the Commonwealth Community Environment Program, which is being managed by the Southern ACT Catchment Management Group. An Expression of Interest was submitted on 13 September 2019 for $15,000 to supplement Parks and Conservation Service activities on Red Hill. The main focus for these funds will be to engage additional contractors to undertake broad area weed spraying which is beyond the capability of the Regenerators. The Regenerators were informed on 10 December 2019 that $15,000 had been awarded for weed control, under the Commonwealth Communities Environment Program No CEP 78470. The program start date is 7 October 2019, with completion of expenditure before 30 January 2021.

The program will be administered by the Southern ACT Catchment Group, with specific activities being selected by the Regenerators in consultation with Parks and Conservation Branch rangers.
