The next Sunday work activity will be held on Sunday 6 November 2022 from 9am until 11am. It will immediately be followed by morning tea and the AGM. The work activity will focus on woody weeds on the eastern slope below the Red Hill cafe. A copy of the AGM Notice is attached.

Location: Park and assemble in the car park next to the Red Hill cafe. Task and safety briefings will be held at 9am sharp
Activities: There are a range of woody weeds in this area, including cootamundra wattle, pyracantha, cotoneasta, verbascum, thistles, oregon grape, blackberry etc. Some deciduous weed plants also are starting to come into leaf. Woody plants will be dealt with by cut/dab. Verbascum and thistles can be chipped out. Tools should not be shared between volunteers.
Conditions: steep track and slopes, rocky in parts, mostly thick and some open bush.
You bring: Water to drink, hat, leather gloves, long sleeved shirt, long pants essential, eye protection, sunscreen, solid enclosed shoes. BYO morning tea.
We bring: Tools – We will bring small and large mattocks, secateurs, loppers, saws, and herbicide dabbers. We will also bring a basic first aid kit, and provide tool use and weeding ID and advice as needed.
Note: It is important that you attend the activity safety briefing at 0900. A byo morning tea and AGM will be held at 11am. See attached AGM Notice and location where associated documents can be inspected.
