Privacy

The Red Hill Regeneration Group (RHRG) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting personal privacy. This statement addresses collection, use and access to information that may be obtained through the use of the RHRG’s web site.

Information Collected and How it is Used

Information collected if you only browse this site.

If you do nothing during your visit to our web site but browse, read pages, or download information, our ISP will gather and store certain information about your visit. This information does not identify you personally. Our ISP will automatically collect and store the following information about your visit:

1. The Internet Protocol Address and domain name used. The Internet Protocol address is a numerical identifier assigned either to your Internet Service Provider or directly to your computer. We use the Internet Protocol Address to direct Internet traffic to you. This address can be translated to determine the domain name of your service provider (e.g. xcompany.com or yourschool.edu);
2. The type of browser and operating system you used;
3. The date and time you visited this site;
4. The web pages or services you accessed at this site; and
5. The web site you visited prior to coming to this web site.

Purpose for collecting this information and use of information

For site management purposes, information is collected for statistical purposes. The RHRG’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

RHRG may analyse the web logs to continually improve the value of the services available on our site. Our web site logs are not personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link them with any individual or organisation.

Personal information

“Personal information” means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion. Personal information includes such things as an individual’s name, address, and phone number. A domain name or Internet Protocol address is not considered personal information.

We collect no personal information about you unless you voluntarily participate in an activity that asks for information (e.g. sending an e-mail or participating in a survey).

If you choose not to participate in these activities, your choice will in no way effect your ability to use any other feature of RHRG’s web site.

If you volunteer personal information, your details will only be used for the purpose for which you provided them and will not be added to any mailing list unless you ask for this to be done or this was the specified purpose for the collection of your personal information.

We will not use your details for any other purpose, and will not disclose them to other persons or organisations without your consent.

Access and correction of personal information

You can review any personal information we collect about you. You may recommend changes to your personal information you believe in error by submitting a written request that credibly shows the error.

If you believe that your personal information is being used for a purpose other than what was intended when submitted, you may contact us. In all cases, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

Use of Cookies and Applets

“Cookies” are simple text files stored on your computer by your web browser. The RHRG does not currently use cookies on its web site. However, because cookies can be used to customize your browsing experience, the RHRG may decide to use them in the future. If the decision is made to use cookies, they will not contain personally identifiable information or otherwise compromise your privacy or security.

“Applets” are tools downloaded to your computer to work with the software you have. Applets are intended to enhance your browsing experience by enabling you to view information in a unique manner or enable access to information that your computer would otherwise be unable to access without the applet. The RHRG does not currently use applets. If the decision is made to utilize applets users of the RHRG’s web site would not be required to use them.
