August working bee on Red Hill: Sunday 2 August 2015

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to help with our next working bee of 2015 on Sunday 2 August 2015.

Last month we did a tremendous job removing vegetation which was blocking the view of the historic Callistemon plantation near the summit restaurant.  This month we will start from the Callistemon plantation and move north along the contours and downhill as far as the wire fence, towards the Lookout, focussing on removing woody weeds and Cootamundra Wattles.

The details:

Time: Sunday 2 August 2015 Work: 0900 to 1230, with morning tea at 1100

Location: Restaurant car park, meet at the top of the Callistemons

Activities: Cutting and dabbing woody weeds. Frilling Cootamundra wattles

Conditions: Moderately steep, some gullies and brambles.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.

We bring: Gloves, tools, herbicides, safety briefing and instructions

Note: The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable)  in the event of rain.
