Following the meeting with golf club members, the developer MBark placed a concept plan of the housing development proposal in the golf clubhouse. No other plan has been made available to the wider community.
The developer held a meeting with Brereton Sreet residents on 2 March 2016, where a range of issues were raised by residents.
Owing to the interest shown by golf club members, the club has modified the consultation timetable as shown below.

OVER 55’S DEVELOPMENT
EXTENSION OF CONSULTATION PERIOD
Monday 29th February 2016
Due to the responses and interest shown by Members following the Over 55’s Development presentation evening held on Monday February 22, it has prompted the Board to extend the consultation period to properly address matters raised by members and neighbours. The developers have been made aware of these issues and have advised they will take them into consideration when reviewing the development plan. As a result, the consultation period will be extended for an additional three weeks. Opportunities for members include:
- Wednesday March 2nd – 11.00am -2.00pm Chair of the Development Committee, Bob Correll, General Manager, Scott Elias and MBark principal James Robinson will be available to meet with Members at the Club;
- Additional opportunities will be made available during the consultation period with the Chair of the Development Committee and General Manager and Committee members;
- At the conclusion of the consultation period, a further Member briefing and presentation evening will be held on Monday 21st March;
- Members will then be given the required notice prior to voting on the development which is expected to occur on Thursday 28th April.
The Board has taken this action and considers it important to engage with Members and to ensure adequate time has been made available to address all issues and concerns raised by Members. The Board also considers it important that at the conclusion of the consultation process Members will have a full and clear understanding of all aspects of the development when they vote on the final plan.
