The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to help at our next working bee of 2015 on Sunday 1 November 2015.
Over the last three months we made great progress on removing the hundreds of Cootamundra Wattles along the upper slopes of the east side of Red Hill. On Sunday we are planning to return to dealing with verbascum, thistles and woody weeds
The details:
Time: Sunday 1 November 2015 Work: 0900 to 1230, with byo morning tea at 1100

Location: Meet at the top of Brereton Street, Garran at 9am sharp for a lift or to drive up to Davidsons Trig
Activities: Chipping and ‘wanding’ verbascum and thistles. Cut and dab woody weeds
Conditions: A mix of open grassland around the Trig, steep and rocky below the Trig.
You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.
We bring: Gloves, tools, herbicides. Safety briefing and instructions at 9.15am.
Note: Children under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable) in the event of rain or extreme heat.
This is the final working bee for the year. Other events scheduled for 2015 are:
