Queens birthday on Red Hill

Thanks to everyone who turned out on a chilly morning to wish the Queen a happy birthday and remove some more woody weeds. We welcomed Tanya and Kate from Canberra Grammar School, who came to see what we do. So we introduced them to a very big pyracantha to cut and daub, which they managed extremely well. We worked along the east side of the hill about half way up, where there are many mature woody weeds and Cootamundra wattles. During morning tea we were entertained by a couple of very talkative Gang Gang cockatoos. The sun finally emerged, helping to make our working bee another pleasant and productive morning.
