Red Hill September working bee: Sunday 6 September 2015

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to help with our next working bee of 2015 on Sunday 6 September 2015.

Last month we made a great start on removing the hundreds of Cootamundra Wattles along the upper slopes of the east side of Red Hill. It is important that as many of this Class 4 weed are cut down before they set seed, so this September’s working bee will be our last chance this year.

The details:

Time: Sunday 6 September 2015 Work: 0900 to 1230, with morning tea at 1100

Location: Restaurant car park, meet at the top of the Callistemons

Activities: Cutting and dabbing Cootamundra Wattles. Frilling larger Cootamundra wattle trees.

Conditions: Moderately steep, some gullies and loose rocks. Barbed wire fence.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.

We bring: Gloves, tools, herbicides. Safety briefing and instructions at 9am.

Note: Children under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable)  in the event of rain.
