Red Hill Work Activity on Thursday 24 September 2026 from 8.45 am to 12 noon

This Work Activity is a continuation of two activities undertaken in May 2026.  This is a joint exercise involving the Red Hill Regenerators and the Federal Golf Club (FGC) to undertake restoration work within the 10.5ha area of the FGC lease area which has been rezoned for inclusion in the Red Hill Nature Reserve.  Prior to the area formally being incorporated into the Reserve rehabilitation work needs to be undertaken on some degraded areas.

This exercise will involve FGC course maintenance staff cutting down patches of large woody weeds.  RHR volunteers will assist by removing the cut material, poisoning the cut stems, and removing smaller woody weeds.  The cut material will be put into piles for removal.

This is an important joint initiative which will ultimately see the final legal steps being taken to incorporate the 10.5ha woodland into the Reserve.

If you intend to come to this work activity it would be greatly appreciated if you could register by emailing info@redhillregenerators.org.au
