The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to our next working bee of 2016 on Sunday 3 July 2016

While the recent rain has been very welcome, it has resulted in a lot of vigorous weed growth, including the ubiquitous verbascum. After spraying verbascum around Davidson’s Trig only recently, new plants are now emerging. This month we will return to Davidson’s Trig for another session of verbascum chipping, dabbing and spraying.

The details:

Time: Sunday 3 July 2016 Work: 0900 to 1230, with byo morning tea at 1100

Location: Meet at the Rusden Street gate into the reserve at 8.45am if you wish to drive or get a lift to the Trig. Otherwise meet at 9am on the ridge 50m north of the Trig.

Activities:

1. Daub, chip or spray verbascum;
2. Locate and record rabbit warrens using Collector App.
Conditions:  Exposed along the ridge, steep and rocky in parts.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.

We bring: Gloves, tools, bags, herbicides, weeding wands, spray packs. Safety briefing and instructions at 9.15am.

Note: Children under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable)  in the event of rain or extreme heat.
