Red Hill working bee: Sunday July 5 2015

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to help with our next working bee of 2015 which will be held on Sunday 5 July 2015.

This month we will continue the very successful work we did some months ago which involved clearing within the heritage callistemon plantation, which is located just below the summit restaurant and start of the Red Track.

The details:

Time: Sunday 5 July 2015 

Work: 0900 to 1230, with morning tea at 1100

Location: Heritage callistemon plantation, east side of the hill about 50m downhill from the restaurant. Park in summit car park.

Activities: Cutting and dabbing woody weeds and some natives from around and within the callistemon bushes. Dragging cuttings uphill to grassy area.

Conditions: Moderately steep, rocky, spikey with some brambles.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.

We bring: Gloves, tools, herbicides, safety briefing and instructions

Note: The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable)  in the unlikely event of rain.
