Regenerators May Working Bee: Sunday 1 May 2016

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to our fourth working bee of 2016 on Sunday 1 May 2016

 

We will be moving to a different side of the Hill for our May working bee.  We plan to work along the lower slopes of the Hill above Deakin, and in the 50m wide band between the two maintenance tracks, from above Buxton Street and towards Red Hill Drive.

The details:

Time: Sunday 1 May 2016 Work: 0900 to 1230, with byo morning tea at 1100

Location: Meet in the parking area at the top of Buxton Street, Deakin.

Activities:

1. Cut and daub woody weeds;
2. Locate and record rabbit warrens using Collector App.
Conditions:  Gently sloping woodland, quite heavily vegetated with native shrub understorey.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.

We bring: Gloves, tools, bags, herbicides. Safety briefing and instructions at 9.15am.

Note: Children under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable)  in the event of rain or extreme heat.
