Regenerators meet with Federal Golf Club developers to detail concerns

Members of the Red Hill Regenerators executive met on Friday 22 January 2016 with representatives of the Federal Golf Club and developers MBark, to listen to their latest ideas for developing part of the golf course. An follow up email was sent on Thursday 28 January 2016, to those representatives of MBark and the FGC who attended this meeting. The purpose of this email was to provide details of the Regenerators concerns regarding development on the golf course lease. It should be noted that, at this stage, no specific details regarding a development have been provided.

The email dated 28 January 2016 stated the following:

Thanks for the opportunity on Friday for discussion of issues related to the proposed residential development at the Federal Golf Club.
As advised, we are opposed to any development as we believe that it would impact negatively on the Red Hill Reserve in the short and long term. Having said that, we appreciate the extent to which you are willing to vary your proposal to address the issues of concern to the Red Hill Regenerators and other stakeholders and are keen to continue the dialogue.
Your offer to meet soon after future golf club member meetings was also appreciated.
We also appreciate that, should the proposed development proceed, there will be worthwhile opportunities to work together.
I have attached the concerns that we discussed in the meeting.
Regards
Ross Kingsland
