The President, Red Hill Regenerators wrote to the Federal Golf Club’s developer MBark on 2 July 2016 to respond to the information provided by MBark to the community regarding their proposed residential development.
Red Hill Regenerators Response to Development Proposal Information Booklet 27 May 2016
Red Hill Regenerators believes that any housing development on the Federal Golf Club lease will have a negative impact on Red Hill Nature Reserve.
The Red Hill Regenerators Executive have met with representatives of the Club and Mbark, the chosen developers on several occasions. The Club’s Development Proposal Information Booklet includes a number of aspects that have been changed from preliminary plans to reduce the concerns expressed by the Red Hill Regenerators about the proposed housing development. These changes are appreciated and the proposed return to the Red Hill Reserve of unused sections of the Club’s lease is particularly welcomed.
It is still early in the process of planning and gaining approval for the housing development with all aspects outlined in the Booklet either still not formulated or to be confirmed. Consequently, the full list of concerns previously expressed by the Red Hill Regenerators still stand.
The Red Hill Regenerators seek to continue open communication with the Club and Mbark and the Red Hill Regenerators response will be updated, based on these discussions and other developments.
