Regenerators working bee Sunday 7 August 2016

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to our next working bee of 2016 on Sunday 7 August 2016

We were fortunate that a recent visit by the Green Army resulted in removal of a significant quantity of Cootamundra wattle seedlings in the nature reserve close to Deakin. The aim of our working bee this month is to complete this task.

The details:

Time: Sunday 7 August 2016 Work: 0900 to 1230, with byo morning tea at 1100

Location: Meet at the top of Buxton Street, Deakin, where off street parking is available. We will work between the parallel maintenance tracks immediately uphill from Buxton Street and between there and Red Hill Drive.

Activities:

1. Cut and daub Cootamundra wattle and other woody weeds;
2. Locate and record rabbit warrens using Collector App.
Conditions:  Gently sloping woodland.

You bring: Water, hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunburn cream, solid shoes, eye protection, byo morning tea.

We bring: Gloves, tools, herbicides. Safety briefing and instructions at 9.15am.

Note: Children under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The event will be cancelled by email (if practicable)  in the event of rain.
