Regenerators Working Bee Sunday 6 November 2016

The Red Hill Regenerators invite you to our next working bee of 2016 on Sunday 6 November 2016

This month we will climb back up the Hill to the ‘rabbit proof fence’ where we worked in October.  There is something for everyone –  groves of Cootamundra, fiddly Oregon Grape remnants, spiky Pyracantha and easy Cotoneasta and Rowan. While weeding you may spot the resident Swamp Wallaby and clouds of Australian Painted Ladies feeding on Creamy Candle nectar.

The details:

Time: Sunday 6 November 2016 Work: 0900 to 1230, with byo morning tea at 1100

More information: info@redhillregenerators.org.au. Prior registration is not required.

Location: Meet above the laneway opposite the top end of Torres Street/Mugga Way. We will work north along the old ‘rabbit proof fence’ about 100m up the hill and up to the top ‘rabbit proof fence’.

Activities:

1. Cut and daub mainly Cootamundra wattle (seedlings to mature), Oregon Grape outbreaks, Pyracantha and other woody weeds;
 2. Locate and record rabbit warrens and weeds using Collector App.
